How to Enable BoomGuard in Your Account
Setting up BoomGuard only takes a few minutes.
1. Enroll Your Protection Plan
Go to Operations → Damage Waiver
Select Get Started
Enter contact information for the property manager and policyholder
Choose your protection type: Contents Only or Bundle
Review and submit your enrollment
Once approved, your BoomGuard dashboard will appear, allowing you to add multiple plans if needed.
2. Assign Coverage to Your Listings
Choose the listings each protection plan applies to.
You can set:
Lower limits for low-ADR properties
Higher limits for luxury or premium listings
Save your configuration and optionally exclude specific channels if needed.
3. Add the Damage Waiver Fee
To ensure the fee is applied correctly:
Go to Marketing Module → Channels → Fees tab
Click Add Fee and select Damage Waiver
Use a fixed amount and set it to apply to all booking sources (OTAs, direct, and manual)
Assign the fee to relevant listings
If you're using the older Charge Profile system, the setup is similar—simply create or update the profile and apply it to the necessary listings.
4. Test Your Setup
Create a test reservation from each booking source (OTA, direct, manual) to confirm the fee appears correctly in the reservation accounting section.
5. Disable Security Deposits
Since BoomGuard replaces traditional deposits:
Go to Guest Experience → Check-in Configuration
Turn off Accept Deposit Payment
This prevents guests from being asked to pay deposits moving forward.
Filing a Claim: Fast and Simple
If a reservation is checked in or currently staying, you’ll see the option to File a Claim.
Submit:
Date and time of the incident
Coverage category
Details of the damage and estimated costs
Claimant information
Supporting documentation (photos, receipts, notes)
Track your claim anytime in the Claims tab, where you can view the claim ID, status, communication with the underwriter, and uploaded documents. You may add additional documentation if needed.
When your claim is approved, you’ll receive an email with payout instructions, and funds typically arrive within 2–5 business days.
