Optimizing 1-Night Gap Stays for Maximum Revenue

Managing 1-night gap stays effectively can transform underutilized inventory into revenue-generating opportunities. This guide walks through implementing this feature at both the portfolio and property levels using an advanced pricing tool.

Portfolio-Level Implementation

  1. Go to the Pricing page under the Marketing Module
    ​

  2. Navigate to the tab.

  3. Create an LOS setting by clicking on the button

  4. Configurations on the LOS setting such as:
    ​

    1. Name

    2. Toggle button to enable

    3. Valid From and To date

    4. Listings (leave blank if applicable to all)

    5. Black listed listings

    6. Discount % - make sure to add a negative sign to increase price

      1. Positive Discount: Reduces the price (e.g., 10% off).

      2. Negative Discount: Increases the price (e.g., -10% adds a surcharge).

    7. Nights - set to 1 for the one-night gap.
      ​

  5. Hit save.

Property-Level Implementation

  1. Navigate to the property-specific pricing settings through either of the following:

    1. Open the desired Listing and click on under the Calendar Page.

    2. Go to Marketing Module > Pricing Page > Pricing tab. Select a listing and click

  2. Within the pricing tool page, click on the button.

  3. Enable the following:

    1. Auto-scramble - this increases or decreases daily charges by 1% automatically.

    2. Pricing control over min nights - add weekend / weekday min nights if you desired

    3. Enable 1 night gap reservation fill - allows reservations for single-night gaps between bookings.
