A markup is a percentage added on top of the base price displayed in Boom. Each channel can have its own markup. It’s typically used to cover the channel fees charged by the OTA (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com).

Steps to Set Up a Channel Markup

  1. Go to Marketing → Channels.

  2. Select the desired Channel and open its Channel Settings.

  3. Click on Default Channel Markup.

  4. For each of your accounts, set the desired markup percentage. Save the changes.

  5. You can apply a markup to:

    • The accommodation fare (base price), and/or

    • Non-inclusive fees, such as the cleaning fee (if it’s part of the reservation invoice).
