Unexpected error: Pet capacity must be greater than 0 if pets are allowed

This error appears on Airbnb when your pet fee settings conflict with your amenity settings—specifically, when you’re charging a pet fee, but the property settings indicate that pets are not allowed or “Pets are welcome” is not selected.

How to Fix the Error

If the property should allow pets and charge a pet fee:

  1. Update the Charge Profile:

    1. Open the property in "Manage" mode and

    2. Go to Channel Manager ⏵ Finance.

    3. Ensure the correct charge profile that includes the pet fee is selected, and save your changes..

  2. Update Amenity Settings:

    1. Navigate to the Amenities section,

    2. Ensure “Pets are welcome” is selected and save your changes.

    3. Make sure “No Pets Allowed” is NOT selected. If it is, uncheck it and save.

  3. Retry Syncing the Airbnb listing:

    1. From the main menu, go to Marketing ⏵ Channels ⏵ Airbnb.

    2. Locate the affected listing and click “Content Action Required”.

    3. Click on the "Retry" Button

    4. Allow the system to sync and update your listing.

    5. Once completed, the error should disappear, and a green checkmark with a green confirmation line should appear.

💡 If the property should not allow pets, make sure the selected charge profile does not include a pet fee and select “No Pets Allowed” in the amenities section.
