Connecting to Agoda

Adding Agoda as a Sales Channel

Before connecting this Sales Channel in Boom, please contact Boom Support and provide your preferred email and phone number for the integration. This will ensure your details are correctly set up on Agoda.

Boom Support will inform you once you’re ready to proceed with the next steps:

  1. From the main menu, go to Marketing ⏵ Channels ⏵ Channel to open the Channels page.

  2. Search for Agoda, hover over it and click on "Connect"

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and push your properties.
    ℹ️ Use Agoda chain id = 0. Make sure all rooms, rate plans, licenses and property-level photos are included.

  4. Log in to Agoda Homes: Go to https://ycs.agoda.com/homes/en-us and log in using the same email address you have provided for this integration

  5. Contracting: After logging in, copy and paste the following URL into your browser’s address bar:
    https://ycs.agoda.com/en-us/kipp/app/settings/contract/Hotel-ID

    ℹ️ Replace Hotel-ID with any Agoda hotel ID created during the property push.

  6. Accept Terms & Conditions: Review the Terms & Conditions, check both boxes, and click ‘Save Contract (PDF)’ (see screenshot below). Once accepted, all properties linked to your host email will go live within 48 hours.


PUSHING: For properties that does not exist yet in Agoda

1. How to request a push of properties

Push
BOOM staff can push your properties that do not yet exist on Agoda with all their content, photos, amenities, prices, and calendar. You can submit a request using our Support Form and provide your Agoda Chain ID.

Chain ID

In order to push your properties to Agoda, we will need your Agoda Chain ID. Email [email protected] with your Rentals United username, Agoda Login Email and sample Agoda Hotel IDs to request your Chain ID.

Sign an Agreement

If you haven’t signed an agreement yet with Agoda, please email [email protected] to request a contract with the channel. Make sure you provide your full company information so that they can prepare an account for you. Specify that you already work with Rentals United.

Currency

We will push the currency you have. If you wish to work with a different currency, please contact [email protected] after the push with the Agoda property IDs to change it.

2. Pricing

We can push price per night & price per guest (single, double and full occupancy). Length of Stay (LOS) pricing is not yet supported.

Price per guest example:

Price per night 100.

Extra guest price 50.

Number of people included in the daily price 2 (step 5 of “Edit properties” in RU)

Max. occupancy 4.

Single occupancy price > 100 (1 & 2 guests)

Double occupancy price > 150 (3 guests)

Full occupancy price > 200 (4 guests)

3. Property Information

Extra fees and taxes

Property content is pushed from Rentals United to Agoda does not include your extra fee and tax setup at this time. You will need to communicate your setup to your Agoda contact after the properties have been created in Agoda.

More exceptions

Agoda has the following limitations. You need to ask Agoda how to add this directly in your extranet. The quickest way to contact them is through their Support form

  • Arrival info ("please contact X at Y at least Z time before you arrive...")

  • Distance to attractions

  • Accepted payment methods

  • Terms & conditions link

Cancellation policy

Agoda offers a range of cancellation policies specified here. They choose the next more strict to the one pushed from RU.

After your property goes live, we only sync rates & availability. If you make any changes to other property information in RU or your PMS, we can re-push property information if you submit a request using our Support Form.

4. Listing Requirements

This is what Agoda requires to set your property live. Make sure you fulfill these requirements before RU starts to push your properties. To check if your properties meet these requirements automatically, go to RU > “My properties” page and click on “Quality check”.

1. Company profile: needs to be filled in. Properties can’t be pushed without it.

2. Amenities: You need to have at least 10 Amenities, it can be a mix of General and Room specific amenities in RU. Free wireless internet and kitchen is mandatory and needs to be ticked in RU.

3. Location: Agoda does not accept all locations. Please, click here to see which locations are not accepted.

4. Bedding: needs to be specified for each bedrooms and should match max. occupancy.

5. Property titles: can’t have numeric codes and non-latin characters. Only use A-Z.

6. Photos: Minimum of 10 photos with a minimum size of 1024 x 683 px. No watermarks, logos or contact details. One photo has to be selected as the main photo in RU.

7. Description: Agoda has limit of maximum 120 words in description.

8. Cancellation policy: is mandatory information. The policy you have saved in RU will be mapped to the closest, stricter one in Agoda.

Expect to go live 2-3 days after accepting the terms & conditions in Agoda dashboard.

MAPPING: Properties already exist in Agoda

  1. In Boom platform, go to the Channels under Marketing menu.

  2. Under Channels tab, choose Agoda.

  3. Copy and Paste your Agoda Hotel ID. Then click on import properties


    Note: It is not necessary to add mark-up in RU. Agoda adds their 10% commission on their end.

  4. Map the corresponding property in RU to your Agoda Hotel ID in order to link the 2 properties together. Finish by "Save group"


FAQs

How do I know if my properties are live?

You can log in to our extranet at https://ycs.agoda.com/homes/en-us to review your property portfolio. ℹ️ Please use the same email address you provided for this integration

How to update license/registration/tax ids?

Please ensure all license information in accordance to local registration laws is updated on the property page in Boom under the Channel Manager ⏵ General section

How do I receive booking confirmation emails and guest details?

For each booking, Agoda will send a confirmation email to the registered email address. All communications will be sent to this email address and phone number.

How do I receive payments?

Agoda collects payment from the guest at the time of booking. On the guest’s check-out date, Agoda will provide the host with a virtual credit card loaded with the amount payable.

How is Agoda commission paid?

All payouts to hosts via virtual credit card are net of Agoda’s commission (i.e., the commission is already deducted). For further information on Agoda’s commission, please reach out to our support team - [email protected]
